Countdown!

Woop! Woop!

As of today, there is only 1 month and 25 days until we go on our next group Disneyland trip -- The ocassion being Mandy's 21st! While her birthday is earlier in the month, this time works out perfectly because of Spring Break and because Jessica and her family will be down there already thanks to her sister's dance team. I really wish Chris could go but I know work has been hectic and it's hard for him to get away  =(    ((Big sad face)) Hopefully soon!

A little bit of this and that.

Yesterday I started another semester of school. It's school -- nothing new to report. I miss my German friends! I got sad when I passed the Exchange Program table and they weren't there. I never got to say goodbye because I was sick when they had their going away party =/

Today Juanita let me tag along to her chemo appointment. From 9am-4:30pm we hung around, talked Disney, looked at pictures, ate Jack, and watched two IV bags full of MUCHO fluids drip, drip, drip. I had a nice time visiting with Juanita and Bobby's Mom. The nurse that was with us was very nice and informative as well =)

I'm really anxious to go back to Disneyland. All that talk today is having me daydream about kicking butt on Astro Blasters...

I also leaned that this March will be Michael Houston's first time to Disneyland since DCA has opened. This also excites me VERY much because we will get to show him the ways!

I'm thinking maybe some shirts will be in order for this trip... hmm.. something to think about!

I like our shirts here best...

The backs of our shirts said, "Our First Trip to Disneyland." We're a bunch of liars. We all have Annual Passes. We were just trying to get hit by the Dream Squad. =D It was funny when some woman said, "How do they know where the camera are?" as we looked at our Space Mountain picture that we all posed for... I guess we didn't think that through all the way-- LOL.

----

I'm in a sorta weird mood right now. Unhappy about things, but can't really break it down. I don't know.... just in a funk I guess. I'll get over it. I blogged to make myself feel a little better. It helped -- a little.

Random memory of the day!

When my Brother and I were little, we did the Woody Woodpecker laugh so much that my Mom refused to let us watch it anymore.

Chúc mừng năm mới!

Happy New Year!!
It's the year of the Ox.

It's my year!

From Astrology.com

Steadfast and solid, this powerful Sign is a born leader, being quite dependable and possessing an innate ability to achieve great things. Oxen tend to be plodding and methodical; they approach projects in the step-by-step manner that serves them best, and they never lose sight of their goal. They are tireless workers who are detail-oriented and believe in doing things right the first time.

As a lover, friend, family member or housemate, the Ox makes a wonderfully strong, tender and affectionate companion who is protective and always reliable.

If you need honest, steady and unbiased advice, call on the Ox. A good lesson for mighty Oxen is to strive to overcome a judgmental nature that keeps them from getting close to others. If they can learn to value their own good qualities, they'll have more room in their hearts to invite others in.

And I leave you with possibly the only stand up comedian to include Ox/Oxen in his routine.

Gotta love Brian Reagan!

On this day in stupid news...

Republicans have once again lost their minds! To read all about it, click here.

Apparently Bill Young got hit with the stupid stick right before he suggested reopening Alcatraz for the Guantanamo prisoners.

I can't say it better than Pelosi:
"Perhaps he's not visited Alcatraz... Alcatraz is a tourist attraction. It's a prison that is now sort of like a-- it's a national park."

Pinkberry? STINKBERRY!

I decided to go and try some Pinkberry today since it just opened at Santana Row. It's located across from Borders in the middle island that separates traffic.

If you go around google images, you'll find hoards of celebrities consuming the "Frozen Yogurt" including my little Disney Channel favs -- The Jo Bros, Selena Gomez, and more.

So what's the verdict?... It's somewhere between OK and disgusting. I got the 8 oz. Pomegranate and split it. It was very sour at first and took some getting use to. I was expecting something a little more sweet... I guess it's because they add no sugar. How unfortunate =(

Can't I just freeze some of this stuff and call it Pinkberry?

For now, I prefer my yogurt in a little Dannon cup that goes for 50 cents at Luckys.

Small World Updates!

Here's the new character pins for the Disney characters that will be in "It's a Small World." I think it's going to be great --  I'm really excited! I can't wait until March when I will get to see them for the first time =D

You can buy the pin set here.

The times, they are a changing

Juanita and I celebrated President Obama's swearing in by getting all kinds of cozy up in her bed. Funny thing, we were wondering why the first lady chose a dress that was lime green... turns out the TV needed some color tuning and we didn't realize it until hours later!

I must say, one of my favorite moments was when the Obamas & Bidens were waving bye-bye to the Bushes as they left D.C.

...Classic...

Their first dance was posted on Perez. Beyonce sang "At Last." Says it all, doesn't it?

Did anyone watch the Disney Channel special that was on last night? You can watch it here.
The Obama girls were so cute!! They were really excited over the Jonas Brothers. How much fun are they going to have living in the White House?!

Speaking of Malia & Sasha, I demand they be just like Sophie from "Cory in the House."

And when they form a band, I will request "Kittens on a Cloud."

Soft and silky, drinkin' milky...

But I digress. After the inauguration, I went to get my hair cut. I went shorter this time -- I was a little nervous, but Greg is awesome and I am very happy with the results =D

And to finish off the day, I went to my first Sharks game! ("Sharka" Game). Last minute tickets mean sitting in the very last row on the upper level, but we had a great time!

Bobby taught me everything about hockey as the game was happening.

Most importantly, he taught me how to properly do the Shark arms during a Power Play and how to spot the Hockey Hoes!

And just a side note that I thought was really cool, after the National Anthem, they threw up a picture of President Obama on the big screen -- Everyone went crazy! What a cool moment.

Here's some pics from the night --

Me & Chris

The Mr. & Mrs. (Bobby & Juana)

Juana & Me

And how did it end? Well the whole game I was sitting there thinking I was bad luck. Until the final minute of the last period, the Sharks were scoreless. They tied it 1-1 and went into overtime. And that is when they scored again to win the game. A great game for sure!

Juanita says I brought the good luck and suspense with me to the game. I call it my Chinese fortune.

Thanks for teaching me the ways of hockey, Juana & Bobby!

Happy Inauguration Day!!

The day is finally here! I'm heading over to Juanita's to watch PRESIDENT OBAMA get sworn in. Peace out President Bush! It's time for change!!

Obama Made Me Proud

This was highlighted on the news today. The boy is from San Pablo. The beat kind of reminds me of "My Brother and Me" at 00:25. Wow! Haha!

Fabulous Friday! I'm Wig N' Out!

What a fun day! To start off, Juanita and I went to lunch at Olive Garden and filled our tummies with delicious pasta and breadsticks =)

After lunch, we met up with Jessica to go on the search for the perfect wig. We started and finished at Wig N' Out. This place seriously rocks. The woman who works there is a nurse and knows all her stuff. She helped Juanita find a perfect match and I absolutely LOVE it. She had a hat on with the wig and Bobby didn't even notice. He looked at her and said, "So where is it?!"

Keep on smiling!!

We watched "Crazy Sexy Cancer." An amazing documentary that everyone should watch. I'd even like to watch it again because it was so well put together.

Bobby then got us pizza before we headed over to "Healing Mass" where we met up with Chris. It was a new experience for everyone and we had no idea what to expect. The 3-hour mass was spoken entirely in Spanish. Jessica showed us she understands more than we thought... because she got the jokes! Bobby spent the majority of his time on Twitter and actually Twittered as he was walking up to receive communion! WOW! Haha! He also held hands with Chris, which made me uncomfortable because they were both moving their thumbs against the other ones hand...

I really did have a good time! They had great music and even some beats allowed us to do the "Tea Cup Dance" and "The Frankie Bob." AND they sold churros afterwards! I think I'll have to get one next time! =D

Tomorrow will be interesting. Chris and I are going to this park where we will go paddle boating... if they are open! Chris also weighs in tomorrow -- I'm sure he did great this week! This guy is determined and I am so proud of him! Keep it up, Babe! I love you!

Santa Cruz

Today I went to Santa Cruz with Juanita, Mandy, and their Mom. I'd never been to Downtown before and it was really beautiful. Super warm too -- there were people walking around in tank tops and shorts. I love California!!! No -44 degree weather here!

When we got home, we watched the Sharks game with Bobby. It is his mission to teach me all about hockey and hopefully we'll be going to a game soon -- but it looks like there are no tickets available until March! Eek! That's OK tho.. because I still have a whole lot of learning to do before I understand what exactly I'm watching!

No pictures to share with you today. But I'm sure there will be some tomorrow -- I'm going wig shopping with Juanita.

Going to...

TRES!

It's been too long -- the day before thanksgiving to be exact. Stupid Jess & Chris will be wearing their matching shirts. I'm too jealous... =(

Vero and I will be sad together.

Happy New Year!

So far 2009 is off to a great start! The best news so far?? Juanita is kicking cancer's ass and looking fabulous while she does it!! She's looking super strong and her new doctor is awesome!

Chris has lost 50lbs so far and is dedicated to reach his goal! I'm very proud of him and he looks great! We'll be celebrating our 4-year anniversary on March 5th!

I had a great time on our group Disneyland trip Dec. 26-30. It was my first time since elementary school that I went during Christmastime. All the cool kids were there: Chris, Juana, Bobby, Jess, Mandy, Frankie, Al, and Marcos. We have so many pictures and 10 gigs of video from the Flip Mino! I'll post once I'm done editing that video together... but for now, here's a few pictures from our trip!
